Lauren is a certified Family Dog Mediator after completing her certification through Kim Brophey, CDBC, CPDT-KA, an applied ethologist and author of Meet Your Dog. As a Family Dog Mediator, Lauren utilizes current, scientifically accurate information that analyzes dog behavior from an ethological perspective.

All coaching, guidance, and training methods are produced using the Dog L.E.G.S.® model as the foundation. L.E.G.S.® stands for Learning, Environment, Genetics, Self. The L.E.G.S.® model is a revolutionary method created by applied ethologist, Kim Brophey, that provides a comprehensive, science-based lens for analyzing and interpreting dog behavior.

Lauren has spent hundreds of hours observing and training a wide variety of dogs while working at one of the largest dog daycare facilities in the Midwest. During her time at this facility, she worked as a manager, lead dog handler, behavioral evaluator, and enrichment specialist.

She also spent time volunteering for a local dog rescue organization as the lead behavior consultant and foster mom. This rescue focused on rescuing and rehabilitating pit bull type dogs, solidifying her love and compassion for bully breeds.

In her free time, Lauren volunteers with her dog Dash as a Pet Partners Certified Therapy Dog team. Additionally, she completed a master’s level credential course specializing in Animal Assisted Interventions from Carroll University.

As an educated and credentialed dog behavior specialist, Lauren is committed to providing science based, judgement free, and empathetic care to her clients, both human and canine.
